Government by Example

Produced in association with Deloitte and Kyoto Publishing “Government by Example” is to be a published report and companion website scheduled for Spring, 2010. The Report will contain peer-reviewed white papers, case studies, interviews and vendor profiles that share a range of thinking on strategies, challenges and solutions for achieving leadership in environmental, energy and economic performance.

The Report is being designed to help federal and state agencies implement the executive orders and programs aimed at placing the US government as a leader in climate neutral strategies. The challenge for the agencies will be as they move from the presidential commitment, to strategy and policy, implementation and governance. We will deliver a guide to accelerate that journey. We are working with thought leaders that hold a variety of positions including – consultants, government officials, academics, analysts, and solution providers.

The report will deliver examples of the government and business achieving cost, energy and environmental impact reduction as they adopt sustainable strategies. Executive Order 13423 provides a methodology for coordinated action across all agencies. The US Government occupies 500,000 buildings, operates 600,000 vehicles, employs 1.8 million civilians and purchases $500 billion per year in goods and services placing sustainability at the core of decision making will change the way we interact with government.

Climate Neutral Campus Report

“Climate Neutral Campus Report” is a published report and companion website produced by Kyoto Publishing in co-operation with Second Nature and the American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC).

The report and website contain peer-reviewed white papers, case studies, executive interviews and vendor profiles that share the latest strategies, challenges and solutions for higher education institutions that are striving for climate neutrality.

The Sustainable Enterprise Report: Turning Awareness into Action

Deloitte has joined with Kyoto Publishing to bring new thought leadership initiatives directly to C-level executives in order to share the latest on Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability. Vol 2 identifies various approaches to identifying Sustainability drivers and aligning them to business priorities to provide for more flexibility in anticipating the challenges of tomorrow.
