Renewables, Home Area Networks, nuclear generation and hybrid electric vehicles have all attracted significant attention. This chapter will help to illuminate some of the exciting changes and possibilities.

Investing in the future – Governments around the world are making energy and environment a top priority. Investments from utilities, technology companies and venture capitalists are also continuing to grow. This chapter will explore topics relating to stimulus programs and regulatory models that are intended to achieve energy independence and reduce greenhouse gases. Additionally, it will explore a myriad of other investments in new, sustainable energy technologies.

Realizing the returns – This chapter will explore the benefits and value of Smart Grid and “new energy” investments with an eye toward real-world cost savings, environmental benefits, and other positive outcomes. See who is creating significant value and defining the path we’re taking toward the transformation of the global energy value chain.

Partner – IBM Energy and Utilities Practice

The project has significant visibility in the industry as IBM has successfully used the reports in marketing efforts and client meetings for the past decade. IBM regularly receives very positive feedback on the quality and impartiality of the report, and with this year’s edition will be expanding its global reach and focusing on strengthening communication channels between end users and vendors.
